overview
Minn Kota or Motorguide Xi5 electric trolling motor Battery Charging Harness with 50Amp Thermal Breaker and VSR
Charges your Minn Kota or Motorguide electric trolling motor battery while the boat's engine is running between fishing spots, creating longer run times and extending the overall life of your battery
Suits (12V DC to 12V DC) or (24V DC to 24V DC) Systems
When the current from your boat’s alternator has charged the main engine battery to a voltage of 13.7 Volts, the Voltage Sensitive Relay cuts in the trolling motor battery then draw power from your main engine to efficiently charge your batteries on runs between fishing spots, this keeps you on the water longer and decreases on-shore charge times, it also extends your Minn Kota/ Motorguide electric trolling motor battery life by protecting your battery from frequent deep discharges
This Perfect, ready to go wiring harness charges your Minn Kota/Motorguide Battery bank from your boat's alternator. Wires directly from your starting battery to the front Minn Kota Battery with a VSR & Circuit breaker in line.
Just bolt on to your existing battery lugs and your charging worries are over. Perfect for "on-water" charging when you don't have a 240 Volt outlet to plug in to.
Suits any 12 Volt starting battery to 12 Volt second battery bank arrangement or 24 Volt starting battery to 24V second battery bank arrangement.
Your batteries will last longer as well by not being run down to the state of getting the plates sulfated which is the culprit of ruining a good battery.
They are only intended to keep you running stronger longer. They are not intended to fully charge your battery. You need a good on board charger as well to keep your batteries maintained properly.

VSR Info (Voltage Sensitive Relay):
BEP 710-140A - VSR 12 Volt and 24 Volt Digital Voltage Sensing Relay 125 Amp
The DVSR (Digital Voltage Sensing Relay) allows charging of two independent battery banks from a single charging source. When the voltage on the start battery rises to a charged level, the DVSR engages allowing the 2nd battery to charge. When charging stops and voltage falls, the DVSR will disengage, isolating the two batteries from each other. The Dual sensing functionality enables the sensing of two battery banks, allowing two way charging
Digital enhancements:
- 80% lower stand-by current draw during normal operation when powered but disengaged
- Zero stand-by current draw when remote sensing circuit utilized
- Multi voltage - auto selects between 12Volt and 24Volt DC operation
- Remote status LED output. Provides DVSR status indication at remote location
- Remote sensing circuitry provides isolated control from secondary supply, and enhanced protection from voltage spikes when connected to ignition switch
- Increased accuracy of voltage measurement through digital circuitry
- Lowered cut in voltage from 13.7Volts to 13.4Volts - 26.8Volts for 24Volt
