The Maxwell Anchormax 12 Volt Vertical Anchor Winch Capstan has a single direction 500 Watt motor and is suitable for rope only. It is an extremely versatile vertical capstan for use as a rope only anchor winch, or as a general purpose electric winch.
It can be mounted horizontally to use as a rope hauler, Lobster-Cray-pot-puller-Hauler pot hauler or davit winch but it is not recommended for use to haul halyards or to haul chain. The Anchormax is designed for simple, low cost anchor recovery on smaller boats and rope hauling on larger vessels.
